Over the next two an a half months I will be working on a project with the day laborers that wait at VOZ for people to hire them for various construction jobs. I am not quite sure where this project will go or how it will develop but I do have a few options in mind. I am meeting with the volunteer coordinator tomorrow (4-7-11) to work out the details and then can begin working on the project with the workers. Some of the options I have thought about are making a book of their lives here to send back to their families, making profiles of the workers so that they can more easily be matched up with jobs or creating a collaborative sculpture, however I am open to any suggestions that they have and really just want to serve where I am needed.
